'Surreal Life' Swings to WB's Sunday

Good night, "Tarzan." Say hello to Ron Jeremy on your way out.

The WB has decided to place the second season of "The Surreal Life," wherein several marginally famous people share a house, "Real World"-style, for a few weeks, in the post-"Charmed" spot on Sunday nights in January. The series will make its debut at 9 p.m. ET Jan. 11.

Episodes will expand from 30 minutes to an hour this time around as the show chronicles two weeks in the life of no-longer-a-rapper Vanilla Ice, porn star Ron Jeremy, former televangelist/curiosity Tammy Faye Messner, "Baywatch" beauty Traci Bingham, "CHiPs" and telenovela star Erik Estrada and "Real World: Las Vegas" girl Trishelle Cannatella.

The network has also let slip the identities of the "special guests" who will drop by country singer Glen Campbell's pad to visit the "Surreal" crew. They include Gary Coleman, eighth-place finisher in California's October recall election; Coleman's "Diff'rent Strokes" castmate Todd Bridges; and Motley Crue singer Vince Neil, who took part in the first edition of the show.

Cameras will follow the six housemates and their guests as they attend Tammy Faye's book signing, work at a famous Sunset Strip restaurant and visit a nudist colony, among other things.

"The Surreal Life" is moving into the timeslot vacated by "Tarzan," which is officially on hiatus but has dim prospects for a return to the schedule.
